Full Time Welder/Fabricator

Company Overview

JM Fabrication Ltd. is a custom welding and fabrication shop, specializing in aluminum and steel solutions. We are currently located just west of Parkhill, Ontario and serve all of Southwestern Ontario. We take pride in our work and ensure quality is at the forefront of everything we do.

We are looking for a Junior and/or Senior Welders to join our team.

Please note that we will never participate in vaccine mandates.

Core Responsibilities

  • Weld metal parts using GMAW, GTAW, SMAW

  • Layout, assemble and finish a variety of metal fabrication projects as assigned.

  • Perform related tasks, such as de-burring and grinding, cutting.

  • Complete inspection of weldments and fabricated parts as required to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

  • Continually strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to pass in-house weld test (GMAW). Preference will be given to individuals with experience in GMAW, GTAW, SMAW.

  • Current or valid certificate is a plus.

  • Experience operating a press brake, shear, lathe, and/or CNC machine is a plus.

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret complex metal fabrication and welding drawings.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent math and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Takes pride in work and strives for continuous improvement.

Salary Levels

  • Junior: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour (less than 10 years of experience)

  • Senior: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour (10 or more years of experience)

Job Type: Full-time, 42.5 hours per week: M-Th 7:00am-5:00pm, F 7:30am-12:00pm.
